We had our fingers, toes and everything else in between, crossed in the lead up to our first awards announcement last week!
Hectre had entered the 2021 NZ Hi-Tech Awards and it was the evening of the finalists announcement. A NZ Hi-Tech Award is one of the technology sector’s most sought-after accolades, having been awarded over the years to New Zealand’s most successful high-tech companies.
It’s been a rewarding time submitting our first ever awards entry, as it forced us to take a breath and reflect on what we’ve achieved so far in our first few years of crazy good Hectre life. And what we loved most, was revisiting all of those momentous moments when growers and enterprise put their faith in our team and our solutions, and took the leap to jump in with us and give this Hectre bunch a go! This gratitude attitude continues today. Every time a new customer joins the Hectre family, whether they’re a small family farm or a large multi-million dollar enterprise, we are thankful and excited to help support their success.
So, as well as celebrating this latest news with our team – who are some of the most talented, kind and inspiring people on the planet – we share this achievement with you, our customers, and offer you our heartfelt thanks. Without you, we are nothing.
It was amazing to hear the Hectre name read out as finalists for not one, but for two of the prestigious award categories! Now we’re in the running for both the Most Innovative Hi-Tech Agritech Solution sponsored by NZTE, plus the Hi-Tech Start-Up Company of the Year sponsored by Punakaiki Fund.
Whatever happens from here (the other finalists are amazing and we wish them the very best), we’re humbled to have been recognised in this way.
